the causes of poor braking efficiency of the hydraulic braking system can generally be judged according to the brake pedal travel (commonly known as high and low), the soft and hard feeling when stepping on the brake pedal, the stability after stepping on the brake pedal at the same time, and the pedal increase during braking

1. Generally, the pedal height is too low and the braking efficiency is poor. If two or more brakes are applied continuously, the pedal height will increase and the braking efficiency will improve, indicating that the clearance between the brake drum and the friction plate or between the master cylinder piston and the push rod is too large and the cooling effect is fast

2. When maintaining the brake, if the pedal height drops slowly or rapidly, it means that the brake pipeline is broken somewhere, the joint is poorly sealed, or the cylinder cup is poorly sealed, the return spring is too soft or broken, or the master cylinder cup and ring are poorly sealed, and the oil return valve and oil outlet valve are poor. First step down the brake pedal to observe if there is any leakage of brake fluid. If the outside is normal, check the failure of the slave cylinder or master cylinder

3. The pedal height is still too low for several consecutive brake steps, and after the second brake step, the master cylinder piston does not return. When the brake pedal is pressed, there is a collision sound between the master cylinder push rod and the piston. It is because the master cylinder cup is broken or the return spring is too soft

4. The pedal height is slightly higher and elastic when braking for several consecutive feet, indicating that air is infiltrated into the brake pipeline

5. After several consecutive steps, the pedal is pressed to the bottom, and no reaction force is felt on the pedal, which indicates that the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir is seriously damaged

6. When the brake pedal is low and soft for several consecutive feet, the vent hole of the plug in the reservoir in the main oil inlet hole is blocked

7. When one or two feet are braked, the pedal height is appropriate, but it is too hard and the braking efficiency is poor. Check whether the clearance between each wheel friction plate and drum is too small. If the clearance is normal, check the surface condition of drum wall and friction plate. If it is normal, check whether the brake shoe spring is too hard, whether the master cylinder or slave cylinder cup is inflated, and whether the piston fits loosely with the cylinder wall. If they are normal, check whether the brake hose is aging and blocked
